Our Story

Hi, I'm Jeff Abramson, founder and owner of Mad City Watches, and a long time resident of Madison, WI (Mad City).

My wife and I raised our family in Madison and I founded my Telecom Agency (Optimum Telecom, Inc.) here in 1995. Over the years, I've had the good fortune to meet and talk with many wonderful people. One easy conversation starter, that I could always count on to break the ice, was asking about someone's watch. Almost everyone wears a watch of some kind, and almost every watch has a story behind it.

I really love the art and style of mechanical timepieces. There's something about the look and precision that I can't put into words. I love models from many brands - Bell and Ross, Breitling, Blancpain, Cartier, Grand Seiko, IWC, Omega, Panerai, Rolex, TAG Heuer, Tudor and Zenith. There are so many cool models that it's hard to choose. That's why so many of us start collecting.

If you're looking for something more high-end, a little harder to find, or it's just not in our current collection, we specialize in finding specific models and hard to find pieces.
